I got an email today from iZotope that contained a video tutorial for removing noise using their plug-in RX: Denoiser.
I was impressed.

Is this a contender for SoundSoap Pro?
Are there other interesting 3rd party apps to consider?
My application would of course be audio recording in the studio, but also audio recorded 'on location' shot with a video camera (and a decent shotgun mike).
